Integra: eight (link to 8)
Five is the enneagram researcher, his deepest desire is to discover things as they are. Their search for knowledge is driven by their own insecurities of feeling that they cannot do things as well as others. This insecurity, however, will push them back to the place where they feel that they do know and feel capable.
Five values knowledge and its identity is created by the ability to generate ideas and be resourceful. The issues they focus on will depend on their interests rather than what is socially acceptable.
All five, in their middle range, can withdraw to the place in their mind where they feel capable to avoid any problems that come their way. They also tend to avoid problems by concentrating on other things. They spend most of their time collecting ideas and skills, losing the ability to develop social skills.
The challenge of the five is to understand that you can dedicate yourself to solving and investigating whatever your imagination wants, without losing the ability to take care of yourself, form relationships and lead a healthy life.

To confront anxiety about not making good decisions, you can do two things: 1) Always keep your mind busy 2) Try to find the best. They have a lot of mental and manual agility, which combined with their inclination to learn about many things can be both beneficial and also a reason for instability.
Enneatype 8
Leader
Triad of Instinct
Fear: being hurt or dominated by others, rape.
Wish: protect yourself and decide your path in life
Message: you are worth it or you are good and you are strong or you are in control of the situation.
Integra: in the Two (link to the 2)
The Eight is the challenger of the enneagram, they love challenges and giving others the opportunity to challenge them and to surpass themselves in some way. They have charisma and physical and mental abilities to convince people to do things. They possess great willpower and vitality, and they use them to create change in their environment, to make their mark, and to prevent others from harming them. They do not like that nobody controls them or has power over them, in any way (sexual, social, economic or psychological). Their behavior will be motivated to conserve and increase power in the shortest possible time.
The Eight is the tough individualist of the Enneagram, they are independent, autonomous and are reluctant to owe someone. They do not tend to abide by social conventions, they do not tend to deviate their behavior because of the opinions of another, and they are able to cope with the fear or shame that this implies. Their ability to take care of themselves with determination makes them respectable and sometimes intimidating.
Their greatest fear is being dominated by someone. They are very resistant to physical or psychological abuse and can endure a lot without complaining, but they fear injury and this means that they can use their physical strength or psychological distance to avoid being injured. The emotional distance they create to protect themselves may confuse others and they will grow further apart. Inside, they tend to feel hurt and rejected and protect themselves by rejecting them first. The characteristic of the eight of the middle band is that they block their ability to connect with others and their ability to love because love empowers others and reactivates their basic fear.
Eights tend to close down and become insensitive the more they give themselves to their ego to strengthen themselves, when they are healthy, however, they possess inventiveness, great dynamism and take life with passion.
Enneatype 9
The peacemaker
Triad: Instinct
Fear: being hurt or dominated by others, rape.
Wish: protect yourself and decide your path in life
Message: you are worth it or you are good and you are strong or you are in control of the situation.
Integra: in the three (link to the three)
It is the enneatype that is called peacemaker, and represents the energy of balance of its triad, because it is in constant search of peace for itself and for its environment. They will always prefer union against separation, peace against suffering. It is oriented towards the spiritual world looking for inner peace, however, it is located in the triad of instinct and for this reason it is more in contact with the physical world and its body. Thus, a nine can be very connected with its elemental power and magnetism developing its instinct or it can be very disconnected apart and a withdrawn person is blown away.
The nine in balance are the crown of the enneagram because they strike a balance between all the other eight personality types, although they do not usually have a strong sense of identity. The nine, more than any other type of the enneagram, tend to flee and react to pain and suffering "trying to live in a state of premature peacefulness, be it false spiritual attainment, or outright denial (Riso Don Richard, 1999)"
They have generally had a happy childhood, but by the nine who have had problems, he learned to dissociate himself from threatening and traumatic situations by adopting a role of peacemaker or mediator, and taking an attitude of disappearing so as not to disturb within the family.
They are children who grew up believing that they could not have needs, or assert themselves or get angry, therefore they did not learn to assert their will and as a consequence they did not learn to fulfill themselves independently of their parents or others, in adulthood they are always trying to please to others who leave their plans in oblivion.
They also learned to repress anger and their will that they lost the consciousness of having anger or their own will. For those who have suffered a childhood of abuse or trauma, the nine learned to protect their feelings by dissociating or closing themselves, which does not allow them to contact or deepen reality.
